Antique Katana sword in Ornate Mounting
NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon certificated (Extremely Well Preserved certificate)
Swordsmith: Yokoyama SUKEMITSU
A quality Katana sword from SAMURAI STORE Yokohama sword store. Antique Katana long blade made by the swordsmith Yokoyama SUKEMITSU in Edo era Ansei period, 1856. Inscription of the sword smith name, his location, and completion date are engraved on the both side of tang. Beautiful GUNOME wavy "hamon" tempered line pattern on blade. Registered as TOKUBETSU Hozon paper "Extremely Well-Preserved Sword" by NBTHK (Japan Sword Preservation Society). The blade comes in a complete antique ornate including a great openworked Tsuba gurad featuring a traditional samurai crest, Mokko, cross-section of a gourd. A Shirazaya wooden holder comes with.
